Ingredients

  • 1 half cups warm milk
  • 4 half teaspoon yeast
  • 10 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Pinch salt
  • quater cup Blue Band margarine spread
  • 5 and half cups all-purpose flour
  • oil for frying
  • 50 gram melted chocolate mousse

Instructions

  1. Mix together warm milk, yeast and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl with a whisk and add the Blueband margarine. Beat again with a whisk and add in the yeast mixture. Once mixed together, add 2 cups of the flour and mix until combined.
  3. Add the remaining flour and knead into a dough for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a bowl and cover with cling film. Let rest in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until the dough has doubled in size.
  5. Divide the dough into 5 parts. Roll out each part in a circle approximately ½ inch thick. Use a circular object to cut out large circles from the dough followed by small circles in the middle.
  6. Repeat the same with the rest of the dough and cover with a cloth. Let rest for another 30 minutes.
  7. Deep fry until golden brown and then dip into melted chocolate.
