Ingredients

  • 100 grams mincemeat
  • half teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoon green bell pepper chopped
  • half teaspoon curry powder
  • salt
  • crushed black pepper
  • boiling water
  • 2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 large potato sliced cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Blue Band margarine
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • oil for deep-fat frying

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and add the mined meat. Cook it down until it turns brown.
  2. Add the ginger garlic paste, onions, green bell pepper, curry powder, salt and pepper and cook for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In a large pot of boiling water, add salt and potatoes. Boil for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes turn soft. Take the potatoes out of the water.
  4. Add Blue Band Original and milk to the potatoes and mash well.
  5. To make the katlesi, take 3 tbsp of the mashed potatoes in your palm and flatten it out.
  6. 1 tbsp of the minced meat mixture into the centre of it and fold the mashed potatoes in to make a ball. Slightly press down on the ball to make it flat.
  7. Roll the katlesi into egg and deep fry for 4-6 minutes. Take out on a paper towel to drain the excess oil and serve with some tomato sauce.
