Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup Blue Band margarine
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • food colouring

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix sugar and Blue Band Margarine together. Whisk well until light and fluffy with a manual whisker or a fork. Once done, add the beaten eggs and blend well. Beat further so that the mixture turns creamy.
  2. Sift together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gradually, add this to the egg mixture. Add milk and mix till the batter is fluffy and soft.
  3. Divide the batter into 3 parts and the Food coloring
  4. Transfer into baking tins. Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for 25 minutes.
  5. Cool completely. Add Whipping cream to each layer.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour and decorate cake to your liking.
