- 11/2 cup Blue Band margarine
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 tablespoons vanilla essence
- 3 cups plain flour
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- food colouring
- In a bowl mix sugar and Blue Band Margarine together. Whisk well until light and fluffy with a manual whisker or a fork. Once done, add the beaten eggs and blend well. Beat further so that the mixture turns creamy.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gradually, add this to the egg mixture. Add milk and mix till the batter is fluffy and soft.
- Divide the batter into 3 parts and the Food coloring
- Transfer into baking tins. Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for 25 minutes.
- Cool completely. Add Whipping cream to each layer.
- Freeze for 1 hour and decorate cake to your liking.
