Chicken Filling
  • 3 tablespoon Blue Band margarine
  • 3 pieces garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon mashed ginger
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sweet soya
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 100ml water
  • 200g shredded fried chicken
  • 2 piece red chilli seeds removed
  • 3 pieces coriander stalks
  • 1 tablespoon fried shallot
Assembly
  • 4 tablespoon Blue Band margarine
  • 10 pieces Mantou Bread
  • 3 pieces coriander stalk
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed (Roasted on Teflon)
  1. In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, sugar and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a pan or wok, Melt Blue Band Margarine. Add garlic and ginger then saute until lightly browned and aromatic.
  3. Add in the Oyster sauce mixture into the pan or work and stir until mixture caramelizes.
  4. Stir in water then add the shredded Chicken, Red Chill, Coriander Stalks and Fried Shallots.
  5. Saute for another minute just until the shredded chicken absorbs the sauce. Set aside.
  6. Split the Mantou buns in the middle 3/4 of the way then pan fry both sides over low-medium heat in a work or pan with melted Blue Band Margarine.
  7. Fill the pan-fried Mantou Buns with the Chicken filling the top off with Coriander Leaves and a sprinkle of Sesame Seeds. Arrange the Mantou Chicken Buns on a plate the .
