Waffles with Bananas & Strawberries
Lovely, crisp Waffles are the perfect breakfast! To make them crispier and tasty, add Blue Band to the batter and top with Strawberries and Bananas once they are ready.

- 75 grams Blue Band melted
- 240 grams flour
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 bananas sliced
- 250 grams strawberries sliced
- icing sugar for dusting
- In a large bowl add eggs, vanilla essence, melted Blue Band margarine and whisk thoroughly. Add flour, sugar and baking powder and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, make buttermilk by adding vinegar to the milk. Let it sit at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes.
- Whisk the batter and add the buttermilk and whisk again until there are no lumps.
- Pour the mixture in a waffle iron and let it cook until the desired level of doneness.
- Top with chopped bananas and strawberries. Dust with icing sugar.
