Instructions:

Recipe 3: Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup Blue Band Margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water, melted Blue Band Margarine, white vinegar, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until the batter is smooth.
  3. Grease a 9-inch cake pan with Blue Band Margarine.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and cover with a lid.
  5. Place the cake pan on a stove over low heat and cook for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  6. Once the cake is done, remove it from the heat and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  7. Then, carefully remove the cake from the pan and transfer it onto a plate.
  8. Once the cake has cooled, you can frost it with your favorite frosting and decorate it with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or any other toppings you like.
